Another Trashy Day

As I walk around the streets, parks and beaches of Southend I see trash. I see tin cans, I see food cartons, I see plastic, I see wrappers, I see jars, I see bottles, I see junk, I see clothes, I see empty bins I see filth and despair.

I hate it, a place where people don't give a shit, a place where daubed on the wall reads:

Not a single road or place I visit is exempt from this uncouth, disgusting disease. Only yesterday I was sitting with a friend (2m apart) and we saw a yoot toss his beer can into the road, there 4 bins within 20 yards of him.

Southend is full of this trash with alleyways, front gardens and small enclaves of garbage. The council do a good job under the circumstances and provide enough rubbish reciprocals but Joe public have no investment or care about the place and it's cleanliness.

So I go out once a day with my litter picker and a collection of bin bags. What I do has no effect as the herds or trashebeasts just keep on coming. There is no solution apart from to pick up the shit yourself as the police don't care about such minor offences, street rangers just get laughed at and it's a J don't give a shit attitude.

I do my bag a day, sometimes a little more but it is a drop in the universe as people are the problem.

Keep Southend litter free, purchase a picker (£1) and some bin bags (£1) from Poundland and take a stroll and pick up some litter for the benefit of those that care.
